I graduated with honors from the University of Texas with a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish Language and Literature.
I am excited to be in my 18th year of teaching. I have taught ESL and Industrial Arts in Guatemala where I lived for 6 years. I have taught also kinder/1st and am now in my 13th year teaching 5th grade bilingual.
In my free time, I enjoy fishing and swimming with my thirteen year old son. We collect insects and work in the garden. Also, I play bass with a cumbia-reggae band.

Color: My favorite color is green.
Book:There are so many different genres to choose from. I like The Lord of the Ring series. Currently, I am reading The Wizard of Oz to my son. Some other favorite books include Siddhartha, The Four Agreements, The Power of Now.
Food: Spicy, spicy, spicy! Tacos, tamales.
Hobbies: Music. Chess. Biking. Fishing.
Music: Reggae, Cumbia, Folk and Trova, Protest

Our Class Schedule:
School starts at 7:30. Special Areas and my conference period are from 11 to 11:45. Recess is from 11:48-12:18. Lunch is from 12:20 - 12:50. Dismissal is at 2:45. See attached file below for more details. Students will be working with Ms Shearman for Language Arts and Social Studies and with me for math and science.
